While this town is small, the attention it has gotten from travelers means it is now filled with so many amenities. Jackson Town Square

The Jackson town square is a great place to just wander around and relax. You’ll find plenty of high and low end shopping options along with tons of great dining. Also make sure to stop at the town square and take a picture with the iconic elk antler arch.

Whitewater Rafting on the Snake River

Try your hand at adventure travel with a whitewater trip down the Snake River. Whitewater rafting tours vary in length and adventure level. But the best part about rafting this river is the amazing views of the Tetons you’ll get as you float down the river.

Visit Grand Teton National Park

This was our favorite thing to do when visiting Jackson. Grand Teton National Park is a hiker’s paradise. You can see pristine mountain and lake views and experience the stunning silence of the park as you hike your way through it.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

This is THE reason to visit Jackson in the winter months. It is one of the top ski resorts in North America. This ski resort has so many things to do, in addition to skiing. You’ll find amazing resort activities and dining options here. It’s also worth visiting in the summer months as a ride to the top will give you great views of the Teton mountains.

Mammoth Hot Springs

Visit Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is one of the most visited national parks in the US. And Jackson is one of the closest towns to the park. Consider making Jackson your base camp while you explore the amazing geothermal wonders of Yellowstone National Park.

Elk

National Elk Refuge

Spot elk from your car at the National Elk refuge. In the fall, winter and spring months, elk make their way here to survive the cold months. Bring a pair of binoculars and see if you can spot the elk just a few minutes north of town.

National Museum of Wildlife Art

This lovely art museum is just across the street from the National Elk Refuge. Here you can view art that has been inspired by nature. This museum is home to more than 5,000 pieces of art from a variety of historical eras. See how nature has been inspiring art for centuries.

Jackson Hole Rodeo

The Jackson Hole Rodeo is one of the top things to do in Jackson in the summer months. The rodeo is held twice weekly. At the rodeo you’ll see bull-riding, barrel racing and calf-roping. The rodeo can be impressive in skill level but the activities may not be something animal lovers will enjoy.
